Hello hello!
I'm Rachel.
I write for editors, agencies,
businesses and other freelancers.
Plus a wee bit more.

01

Who am I?

I’m a journalist, copywriter and content producer.

My business and I are based in Newtown – a loveable, bohemian pocket of Sydney’s inner west. I’ve lived in Sydney most of my life and have freelanced for well over 20 years.

Oodles of experience writing for magazines, corporates, agencies and small businesses means I know a thing or two about telling a good story, and producing copy and content that hits the spot. And if that’s in the area of personal finance, business or lifestyle, I’m your person.

02

What do I do?

I can help you with all of these lovely things.

  • Story ideation and brainstorming
  • SEO copywriting
  • lead magnets, ebooks, eDMs and web copy
  • content marketing
  • blog posts
  • print features
  • case studies
  • content strategy.

Feeling a bit bamboozled and not exactly sure what you need? I can break it down and guide you through that, too.

03

Do I know my stuff?

Yup! I do a lot in the writing world – beyond client work.

I co-host The Content Byte podcast, and we’re working on the second year of The Content Byte Summit. I also run Rachel’s List, a jobs board and community for other writers.

You can read interviews I’ve done with Open Universities, Telum Media, ArtsHubThe Freelancer’s Year, Parpera, Rounded and Hustle and Heart. And if you prefer to listen, I’ve been a guest on Unemployed and Afraid, The Emma Lovell Show, Your Career Podcast, Hot Copy, Level Up and So You Want To Be A Copywriter. Aaannd… I’ve been quoted in several books including Marketing Launchpad: The ultimate, no-fluff marketing book for women in business by Racquel Collard, and Look – it’s your book! by Anna Featherstone.

I also recently wrote about how to find a copywriter for the VA Lead Network (and the differences between a copywriter and a content writer).

04

Why would you hire me?

I’m good at what I do, and easy to work with.

When hiring a freelancer, you want to know that the person you’ll be working with is reliable, professional and friendly. Think of me as someone who can make your work life easier, and help you fulfil your goals. That’s what I want, and I go the extra mile to make that happen.

I also understand how busy you are. You know your copy and content is SUPER important, but handing it over to a professional like me can mean you get back precious hours in your day. Hours to run your business. Have lunch with your mum. Or just take more naps. Boo-yeah!
